Question 1

Which is the best solar company in Kenya for installation?

Accepted Answer

German Solar International is a solar installation company serving Kenya, Botswana and Rwanda. We design, supply, install and maintain solar panel systems, hybrid solar systems and lithium solar batteries, backed by a 10-year performance warranty on Tier-1 LiFePO4 cells and TOPCon solar modules, and 24/7 remote monitoring. Our projects include a 420 kWp solar and 500 kWh battery installation in Nairobi.

Question 2

How much does solar system installation cost in Kenya?

Accepted Answer

Solar installation prices in Kenya depend on your electricity use, system size (kWp), battery storage (kWh), inverter type and roof or ground conditions. We size every system from a site assessment and send an itemised solar installation quotation showing the solar system price, panel cost and battery cost. Use our ROI calculator for a quick estimate, or request a quotation.

Question 3

What are solar panel prices and solar battery prices in Kenya?

Accepted Answer

Solar panels prices in Kenya and solar batteries prices in Kenya vary with brand, panel technology, battery capacity and chemistry. We supply Tier-1 TOPCon solar panels and LiFePO4 lithium solar batteries and quote each component separately so you can compare. Send us your load and location for an exact figure.

Question 4

What size solar system do I need for my home or business?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your monthly electricity use, your peak load, and whether you want battery backup. Share a recent electricity bill or a list of equipment and we will size the solar panels, inverter and battery for you. You can also try our solar sizing calculator.

Question 5

What is the difference between on-grid, off-grid and hybrid solar systems?

Accepted Answer

On-grid solar systems connect to the utility grid and cut your electricity bill. Off-grid solar systems work independently with batteries, ideal where there is no grid. Hybrid solar systems combine solar panels, batteries and the grid, so you keep power during blackouts and use less grid electricity.

Question 6

Do you install solar systems for homes, businesses and factories?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We handle home solar installation, commercial solar installation and industrial solar installation, including on-grid solar systems, off-grid solar systems and hybrid solar systems with battery backup.

Question 7

Where do you work? Are you a solar company near me in Nairobi, Mombasa or Kisumu?

Accepted Answer

Our engineering team is based in Kenya and delivers solar installation in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and other parts of the country, as well as projects in Botswana and Rwanda. Contact us with your location and we will confirm the fastest site visit.

Question 8

What solar products do you supply?

Accepted Answer

We supply solar panels, solar batteries (including lithium solar batteries), solar inverters, hybrid solar systems, solar backup systems and solar power generators, plus solar accessories. Ask us about solar water heaters and solar street lights for your project.

Question 9

Are lithium solar batteries better than lead-acid batteries?

Accepted Answer

Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) solar batteries generally last longer, can be discharged more deeply, need little maintenance and are lighter than lead-acid batteries, so they are the best value for most solar backup systems. All our battery storage uses Grade-A LiFePO4 cells.

Question 10

Can solar keep my power on during a blackout?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with a hybrid solar system or solar backup system that includes batteries and a hybrid inverter. Our commercial and industrial systems switch to battery power in under 20 milliseconds, so critical equipment keeps running without flicker.

Question 11

Can I get solar without paying upfront?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer zero-CAPEX solar power purchase agreements (PPA) and asset leasing for commercial and industrial customers: we finance, build and maintain the system and you pay only for the clean power it generates at an agreed lower tariff.

Question 12

Who maintains the solar system after installation?

Accepted Answer

We offer 24/7 remote SCADA monitoring and operations and maintenance (O&M), so performance is tracked and issues are fixed quickly after solar installation.

Question 13

How do I get a solar installation quotation?

Accepted Answer

Request an engineering consultation on this website, call +254 0777 200 714 or email germansolarinternational@gmail.com. Tell us your location, average electricity bill or equipment load, and whether you need home, commercial, industrial or off-grid solar. We will reply with a quotation.
